David Hockney and Masumi Hayashi both photograph images to be put together in photo collages. However, they have different techniques. Hockney isn't precise with his collages, while Hayashi is. Also, Hockney works with moments and Hayashi works with mainly landscapes.

The article The Changing Face of America is about people being categorized as a specific race while they might actually be a mixed race. I learned that just by looking at a person's face, you can immediately divide them into a certain racial group. This article affected me because the way someone looks doesn't describe who they are and what their culture and background is. The intention of having a "Faces of GW" project is to help others understand that people can't only be known by the way they look, their is a deeper level behind them that must be reached to fully capture who that person is. Having a "Faces of GW" project will affect our school because we will be more aware of everyone around us, and we will get to know more students personally that we might not usually talk to on a daily basis. In this image, I would subtract the cyan. The blue of the sky and the greenish-cyan of the waves clash in my opinion, so I would make the wave appear less shocking but still beautiful. In this image, I would subtract the yellow. The yellow of the taxi and the yellow of the street makes this photo bright and overwhelming. The taxi is the main subject, so the yellow of the street could be subtracted. In this image, I would subtract the magenta. The flowers are already the main focal point, and seeing as there is nothing in the background with a different color, it becomes too much. Besides the little dots of yellow in the center of the flowers, magenta is the only color.
These photographs taken by Steve McCurry emphasize color and light. In the photo on the left, he uses the light shining through the trees to focus on the horse and the carriage. The silhouette of the trees also are emphasizing. The clouds of dust on the ground with light give off the effect of mystery. In the picture in the middle, Steve McCurry uses lines to draw attention to the photograph and captivate the viewer. The strong blue colors of the ocean and the sky also add emphasis, as they are not the same shade of blue. In the last image, the reflection of the sky on the wet ground shows light even though the sun is not out in the photo. The red coats of the four people capture your eye because the color stands out so much.
